$112 billion of private money, pointed at developing economies — a record

The World Bank Group mobilized a record $112 billion in private capital for developing economies in fiscal 2026 — more than triple the $35 billion of FY2022. Africa's share roughly doubled, from about $9 billion to about $22 billion, and the Group issued over $25 billion in guarantees — beating its own 2030 target four years early.
