$112 million to make flood-and-drought-hit Bangladesh villages unbreakable

The $112 million Climate Resilience and Livelihood Enhancement Project, backed by IFAD and Denmark, will spend six years in the flood-prone Haor wetlands and drought-hit High Barind — raising roads and shelters, improving markets and boat landings, and giving vocational and entrepreneurship training to young women and men. Around 1.5 million people across 33 upazilas are expected to benefit.
