150,000 people moved nearly 20 million miles — and turned them into $3 million for children's cancer research

Through September, more than 150,000 people ran, walked, wheeled, biked and swam in Hyundai and Strava's Miles for the Warriors Challenge — and they did not do it by halves. Together they logged 19,959,136 miles, more than doubling Strava's all-time challenge record, and smashed the original 400,000-mile goal within the first 24 hours. Each milestone unlocked more giving: Hyundai's total donation through the challenge reached $3 million for Hyundai Hope on Wheels, which funds research into childhood cancers and supports the young patients the challenge calls its warriors.

The upbeat factora finish line that kept moving because people refused to stop — and $3 million for the kids they were moving for.
