180,000 Kenyan children read aloud as one

More than 180,000 children across 677 schools in 46 of Kenya's 47 counties took part in the National Read Aloud 2026 — reading together from 14,000 books. The story was adapted into Kenyan Sign Language so deaf learners shared the same moment, and five Ugandan schools joined in.
