189 fast-food stores in the Philippines now run on 100% renewable electricity

The Jollibee Group has partnered with First Gen to shift 189 company-owned stores in the Philippines to fully renewable electricity, sourced from the BacMan geothermal facility in Bicol. The stores span Jollibee, Greenwich, Chowking, Red Ribbon, Burger King and Panda Express — about 40% of the group's Philippine stores — pooled through the government's Retail Aggregation Program, which lets smaller electricity users band together and buy clean power directly. Nationwide expansion is already in the pipeline.
