200 people got free eye care — and fruit-tree saplings to plant at home

At its branch in Narsingdi, Grameen Bank ran a day-long eye camp where specialist doctors gave around 200 residents free eye examinations, low-cost spectacles, and advice for cataract patients, together with VisionSpring. Marking the bank's 50th anniversary and World Sight Day, every visitor also took home fruit, forest, and medicinal tree saplings to plant. Clearer sight today, greener shade tomorrow.
