225 new jobs in Michigan as FANUC America puts $90 million into a robotics plant

FANUC America will build a new 840,000-square-foot facility in Michigan — a $90 million investment expected to finish by late 2027 and create 225 jobs. The company has invested nearly $300 million in new facilities since 2019, growing its U.S. footprint to 3 million square feet and more than 700 jobs. Later this year it also opens the expanded FANUC Academy in Auburn Hills, Michigan — set to be the largest robotics and automation skills-training center in the country, aimed at closing the manufacturing skills gap.
