During Mazingira Week the country logged 4.41 million trees, and the national tracking dashboard passed 2 billion trees planted. President William Ruto led the celebrations in Trans Nzoia County. The push feeds Kenya's goal of 15 billion trees by 2032 — to lift tree cover from 12.13% to 30% and restore 10.6 million hectares of degraded land.
