300 schoolchildren in Aligarh got free dental checks — and learned to brush the right way

Three hundred children sat still, opened wide, and left with healthier habits. The Department of Public Health Dentistry at Aligarh Muslim University's dental college ran a screening camp at STS Minto Circle School in Aligarh, India, checking about 300 schoolchildren for early signs of dental disease and teaching proper brushing, daily oral hygiene and the value of regular check-ups. The camp was guided by Principal Prof. N. D. Gupta and department chair Prof. Neha Agrawal, with faculty, postgraduate and final-year students doing the screening — preventive care delivered where children already are: at school.

The upbeat factor300 children checked, taught and sent home with the habit that prevents the problem.
