493 people became a grapevine: Moldova's delicious new world record
In Chisinau's Great National Assembly Square, 493 people stood perfectly still for about 15 minutes — arranged as roots, trunk, branches, six grape clusters, six leaves and curling tendrils, each in colour-coded clothing and checked in by QR code. Together they formed the world's largest human image of a grapevine, a new Guinness World Records title confirmed by adjudicator Pravin Patel during the 25th National Wine Day, whose theme was 'United by Wine.' At 39 metres long, the grapevine could only be read from the air — a harvest celebration you needed wings to appreciate.
The upbeat factorhundreds of strangers holding still, together, to draw a picture in a square — teamwork as art.
