65.4 more megawatts of wind are spinning in India's first firm-power renewables project
Juniper Green Energy has switched on another 65.4 megawatts of wind capacity in its SJVN firm-and-dispatchable renewables project in India — a hybrid plant combining 259 megawatts of solar, 280 megawatts of wind and about 201 megawatt-hours of battery storage, designed to deliver clean power on demand rather than only when the sun shines. With solar and storage already running, about 81 megawatts of wind have been added in roughly two weeks, lifting Juniper's operating portfolio to about 2,811 megawatts. It is the first project of its kind to enter commissioning under India's firm-power guidelines.
