A 15th school opens in Ogome — and 5,577 Ghanaian students already have better classrooms

In Ogome, Ghana, a new school has just been completed — the 15th built under Fidelity Bank's Orange Impact Initiative, which tackles exactly the things that hold learning back: not enough classrooms, too few learning resources, and poor water and sanitation. Across the 14 schools finished before Ogome, the initiative has already reached 5,577 students and teachers, including 2,452 girls. Its partner, Pencils of Promise, has built 210 classroom blocks in Ghana since 2012, improving learning for more than 50,000 children — its country director, Freeman Gobah, was there to open the doors.

The upbeat factora finished classroom, with real children's names on the register — not a promise, a school.
