A 20-year-old just rewrote what one cricket innings can hold: 188 runs
Opening for the Titans against the Knights in Bloemfontein, left-hander Lhuan-dre Pretorius reached fifty in 24 balls, his hundred in 40 and 150 in 58, finishing unbeaten on 188 off 79 balls with 15 fours and 13 sixes — topping Chris Gayle's 175 not out from the 2013 IPL, a record that had stood for 13 years. It also tied the mark for the most balls faced in a men's T20 innings, and powered the Titans to 267 for 3 and a 124-run win. The knock capped a hot run of form after scores of 94 and 101 for South Africa against Zimbabwe and Namibia.
The upbeat factora 20-year-old's bat just rewrote what anyone thought possible in a single innings.
