A blood-pressure pill is working where others fail — even in the toughest patients
Swiss drugmaker Idorsia has shared new analyses from its pivotal Phase 3 PRECISION study at AHA Hypertension 2026: in people whose high blood pressure had resisted other treatments, aprocitentan cut office systolic pressure by about 15 to 16 points within four weeks, and the effect held out to week 36. It worked in patients with obesity and in advanced kidney-risk stages, where a key kidney marker fell by roughly half. The drug is already approved as TRYVIO in the USA and JERAYGO in Europe. About 1.4 billion people worldwide live with hypertension.
The upbeat factorfor patients nothing else helped, 15 points is a whole new horizon.
