A blood test that needs half the blood could spare babies repeat draws

Dalhousie researcher Linh Tran won a national pitch competition for a diagnostic method that pulls the same information from half the usual blood sample. For infants, elderly patients, and anyone who can't easily give large samples, that means fewer painful repeat draws. Her lab's work could make testing safer and more accessible across nearly every area of disease.
