A French startup's fusion magnets just won Europe's €50,000 innovation prize

Renaissance Fusion's Lasermag — a new way to build the super-powerful magnets inside fusion reactors using laser-engraved superconducting tape — took first prize at the EU's SOFT Innovation Prize.
