A good night's sleep, on its way to eight more Asia-Pacific markets

For people whose nights are broken by insomnia, a newer kind of sleep medicine is set to reach far more of Asia and the Pacific. Japan's Nxera Pharma has licensed QUVIVIQ (daridorexant) — a treatment that works by blocking orexin, the brain's wake-up signal, rather than sedating the whole body — to Taiwan's Synmosa for Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Australia and New Zealand. The medicine is already sold in Japan and approved in Taiwan; Synmosa will now lead approvals and supply across the eight new markets.

The upbeat factorrest is medicine too — and millions more people are about to have a better route to it.
