A kilo at a time: more than 90 hotels ask guests to arrive with something to give
Mövenpick's Kilo of Kindness is back for its eleventh year, and its unit of generosity is pleasingly literal: one kilo of something a neighbour needs. From 26 October to 27 November, more than 90 hotels are partnering with local charities to collect what their own communities actually lack — non-perishable food, school supplies, clothing, personal care items — with each hotel's list set by its charity partner, not by headquarters. Across eleven years the drive has gathered more than 130,000 kilograms of essential goods. From 2026 it grows beyond the season: hotels will keep volunteering, fundraising and supporting their partners year-round, with World Kindness Day on 13 November as the shared celebration.
