A new clinic in Toronto just opened its doors to people with no address

For someone sleeping rough, a doctor's waiting room can feel like another planet — too far, too formal, too impossible. On 2 October, the Sovereign Order of Malta and Good Shepherd Ministries opened the Good Shepherd Clinic in Toronto to change that: a health unit inside a reception center, built for people in poverty and homelessness, offering medical assessments, treatments, and links to community health services. The first Canadian to lead the 900-year-old Order, Grand Master Fra' John Dunlap, cut the ribbon himself, saying service must always stay personal. Volunteer doctors, donated equipment, and one simple idea: everyone deserves care, especially those with the least.

The upbeat factorhealth care that meets people where they are — dignity first, paperwork later.
