A penguin posse, a little leopard cat and a chonky squirrel: the week in wildlife

The Guardian's photographers spent the week where the wild things are, and came back with treasure: a posse of penguins standing about like they own the place, a little leopard cat caught mid-prowl, and one magnificently chonky squirrel who has clearly never missed a meal. The weekly gallery is a reminder that while the serious news does its serious work, the animal kingdom is out there being gloriously itself — posing, prowling and snacking its way through the week.
