A roving clinic frees doctors to just be doctors for nearly 800 aged-care residents in Queensland

In Queensland, a new mobile clinic model called Your Doctor in Aged Care is quietly fixing a frustrating problem: the doctors who care for older people in residential homes spend much of their day on paperwork instead of patients. Better Medical's pilot pulls the administration, coordination, and clinical support into one dedicated team behind the scenes, so about 10 GPs can spend their time on care itself. The service already looks after almost 800 residents across 24 aged-care facilities, and it supports aged-care doctors in other states too. For residents — many in regional communities where a GP visit is hard to get — it means a doctor who arrives with time to listen.

The upbeat factornearly 800 older Australians get doctors whose hands are freed from forms and put back on care.
