A school built around its students wins England's top special-education award

LVS Oxford, a specialist school for autistic young people, has won the Excellence in Special Schools Award at the National SEND Awards 2026. Judges praised the school's sustained, whole-setting impact and the passion of a staff team focused on helping every student build confidence and aim for their own aspirations. The awards drew entries from thousands of settings across the UK.
