A solar farm in Saudi Arabia is now a nursery for threatened gazelles
Inside a 250-megawatt solar park in Saudi Arabia's Prince Mohammed bin Salman Royal Reserve, 38 sand gazelles now graze in the shade of the panels, where the ground runs 5 to 10 degrees cooler. The predator-proof site, dubbed ReWildingVoltaics, aims to grow the herd toward 600 animals by 2031 for release into the wider reserve — clean energy infrastructure doubling as a wildlife sanctuary.
The upbeat factorthe panels make electricity above and a safe nursery below — double green, indeed.
