A thank-you letter from Uganda for the medicine that gave him his life back
Komakech Vincent, who lives with hemophilia A in Uganda and is treated at Mulago National Referral Hospital, has written to the World Federation of Hemophilia to thank it for donated clotting factor supplied through its Humanitarian Aid Program. He says the medicine has greatly improved his health and that he can now carry out daily activities with far less difficulty, thanking the WFH for bringing 'hope, comfort, and a better quality of life.' Since 2015 the program has donated more than 26.5 million IUs of factor and nearly 320,000 mg of non-factor replacement therapy to Uganda.
The upbeat factora treatment once out of reach now lets a man live an ordinary life — and he wrote to say so.
