About $460 million flows into Chilean solar that keeps shining after sunset

Grenergy has closed $457 million (about $460 million) in financing — its largest such deal — for Chilean projects totalling 446 megawatts of solar capacity and 1.8 gigawatt-hours of battery storage. The package covers Algarrobal, the fifth phase of the Oasis de Atacama project (242 MW of solar and 1.5 GWh of storage, backed by a 12-year power agreement starting in 2028), plus the Palmas cluster of 21 smaller solar plants (204 MW), six of them being retrofitted with five-hour batteries. The company says it has now secured more than $2.4 billion in financing in Chile.

The upbeat factorsunshine, banked for the night — clean power that keeps working after dark, financed and real.
