After 49 years, the Philippines and Singapore rewrite their tax treaty

Negotiators from the Philippines and Singapore have concluded talks to modernize their 1977 double-taxation agreement — clearer rules for cross-border income, stronger cooperation between tax authorities. 'The Philippines is committed to strengthening tax cooperation across the region,' said Finance Secretary Frederick Go. The Philippine delegation was led by Assistant Secretary Euvimil Nina Asuncion.
