Angola and Namibia vaccinate 230,000 children in synchronized polio push
Angola and Namibia ran a synchronized cross-border polio vaccination campaign from 24 to 27 February 2026, reaching 230,000 children under 10 with door-to-door teams on both sides of the border. The WHO backed the effort after a genetically linked poliovirus variant was found on both sides of the frontier.
The upbeat factorA virus doesn't respect borders — so the vaccination didn't either.
