Argentina opens a simpler door for Indian medicines — provinces can now buy direct
Argentina has rewritten its medicine-import rules so provincial governments can buy finished medicines directly from suppliers whose factories carry certifications recognised by the WHO, PAHO or the international PIC/S inspection scheme — no fresh local factory inspection required. Tucumán province is first in line, sharing its list of needed medicines and devices with Indian manufacturers after talks with India's embassy. Cutting the inspection bottleneck doesn't make headlines like a new drug, but it is how medicine gets cheaper and shelves get stocked: the same certified pills, a shorter road to the patient.
The upbeat factorred tape removed where it hurts most — between a certified medicine and the province that needs it.
