Argentina swims, rows and fences its way to second

The home team closed the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games second on the medal table, with swimming and speed canoeing doing the heavy lifting. Macarena Ceballos swept three breaststroke golds and Cecilia Dielecke ruled the backstroke events, while canoeists added ten golds. Gymnast Julieta Lucas, fencers Clara Isabel and Pascual María Di Tella, and shooter Fernanda Russo kept the home crowd roaring.
