At 41, Kipchoge wins his first marathon in three years — in course-record time

Eliud Kipchoge crossed the Melbourne Marathon finish line at the MCG in 2:09:10 — a course record — waving to the crowd with the joy of a man who had waited three years for a win. The 41-year-old's last victory was Berlin 2023; this was his 17th marathon win, part of a seven-continent tour that will take him to Cape Town next.
