At 61, this grandmother just held a plank for five hours — breaking her own world record

DonnaJean Wilde is a 61-year-old grandmother and retired schoolteacher from Alberta, Canada. This week, at the Huntsman World Senior Games in St. George, Utah, she got down on the floor — and stayed there for five hours, shattering her own world record for the longest abdominal plank (she set the old one at 4 hours 30 minutes in March 2024). The morning after, she got up and ran in the 3,000-meter race in her age group. Guinness World Records has received the application for the new record.

The upbeat factordiscipline that doesn't retire — proof the body keeps its promises after 60.
