Audiobooks are arriving for millions more listeners — Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria and Ghana included

Spotify is expanding its audiobook service from 22 markets to more than 180 by the end of 2026, opening access to more than 350,000 titles in over 120 languages for over 750 million people. The African rollout spans more than twenty countries, from Kenya and Nigeria to Ethiopia, Rwanda and Zimbabwe. The expansion was shared at the Frankfurt Book Fair, the world's largest gathering for publishing.

The upbeat factormillions of new listeners are about to meet books in their own languages, in their own voices.
