Austria just approved 7,700 battery storage projects in one funding round

Demand for solar-plus-storage was so strong that Austria quadrupled its funding round budget to €48.76 million, approving all 9,327 applications. The projects will add over 200 MWh of battery storage, mostly in Lower and Upper Austria. Households are voting for the energy transition with their rooftops.
