Bangladesh's literacy rate hits 77.9% — and dropouts who finished skills training found work

Ahead of International Literacy Day, Bangladesh reported literacy of 77.9% among those aged seven and above. The deeper story: of 4,312 dropout students enrolled in non-formal literacy and practical-skills training across all 64 districts, 92.47% of those who completed went on to permanent jobs, apprenticeships or their own enterprises.
