Bogotá's plastics fair seals $7.8 million in deals — and launches Colombia's first digital-transformation hub
Brazilian exhibitor André Fonseca came to ColombiaPlast 2026 hoping for new customers — he left with more than $500,000 in sales already booked. Across five days in Bogotá, the Andean region's biggest plastics and packaging fair drew nearly 35,000 visitors and 325 exhibitors from 15 countries, generating $7.8 million in business expectations through 154 matchmaking meetings between 20 international buyers and 67 Colombian exporters. The fair also launched i4Plus, Colombia's first industrial digital-transformation center, built to bring robotics, AI and digital twins to local factories. The sector already accounts for 12.5% of Colombia's industrial GDP and 255,000 jobs.
