Britain now sets up clinical trials in 100 days — and patients reach new treatments sooner

New figures show the UK has hit its target for speeding up medical research: commercial clinical trials were set up in an average of 100 days in the three months to March, down from 153 days a year earlier, and every one of the 24 trials started within 150 days. More than £3 billion (about $4.1 billion) in public-private investment has flowed into UK life sciences in the plan's first year — meaning people with cancer, heart disease and other serious conditions can join trials, and reach new treatments, faster.

The upbeat factorless waiting, more healing.
