Cancer care's two big houses join forces for the world's patients
The World Health Organization and the American Society of Clinical Oncology — the world's largest professional organisation of cancer doctors — have formalised a partnership to raise the quality of cancer care worldwide, where the burden falls hardest on low- and middle-income countries. Announced on October 15, the collaboration will train the oncology workforce, widen access to clinical trials, and strengthen quality and accountability in care, tailoring ASCO's global courses to each country's needs. The goal is simple to state: where you live should not decide whether cancer care works.
