Care that starts with the person: Queensland's specialist dementia teams win national honours

Anglicare Southern Queensland has won the Future of Ageing Award for Neurological Care for its Specialist Dementia Care Program, which looks after people whose complex needs cannot be met safely in mainstream aged care. Since its first unit opened in 2020, the program has grown to three homes across South East Queensland, with a fourth on the way — each built around knowing the resident as an individual first.
