Chile just became Latin America's age-friendliest country — 217 towns and counting

Chile now has 217 municipalities in the WHO's Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities and Communities — the most in Latin America. The network commits towns to better housing, transport, public spaces, and services for older people, part of the WHO's Decade of Healthy Ageing. The milestone was marked in Santiago alongside graduates of a new training program for senior-care officials.
