Chris Packham's new Naturewatch wants Britain falling in love with its own backyard wildlife

The BBC is giving British wildlife a weekly show of its own. Naturewatch, a new series and video podcast from the team behind Springwatch, will be presented by Chris Packham, his stepdaughter and long-time co-presenter Megan McCubbin, and wildlife presenter Hannah Stitfall, launching on BBC Two and iPlayer on 6 November. From newts to nightingales, the show promises fresh science and close encounters with the animals living alongside us — and its makers hope a weekly date with the wild will nudge a new generation to step outside and reconnect with the nature on their doorstep.

The upbeat factora weekly invitation to notice the wild neighbours you already have.
