Colombia weaves people's health through its whole climate plan
When the Global Climate and Health Alliance scored how deeply countries build health into their national climate plans, Colombia came out as the pace-setter — its plan treats cleaner air and healthier communities as core climate work, not an afterthought. Colombia is also among just five countries setting targets to cut black carbon, the sooty pollutant that warms the planet and damages lungs. The scorecard, built by a coalition of more than 300 health organisations, is meant as a practical map: plans that protect health and climate together get further than plans that treat them as separate problems.
The upbeat factorone plan that cools the planet and helps people breathe — proof the two goals pull together.
