Electric motorbikes get a push in the Philippines and Indonesia, one new showroom at a time

Swapping a petrol motorbike for an electric one is easier when someone nearby sells and services it. Vietnamese maker VinFast is paying to make that happen: dealer partners who open new electric-motorcycle showrooms in the Philippines and Indonesia can receive support of up to US$60,000 per store, with extra incentives for opening early or opening several. The goal is simple — more local businesses selling quieter, cleaner bikes, and more riders able to choose one.

The upbeat factorcleaner, quieter streets, arriving through hundreds of small local businesses.
