Every school clears the bar: a Kentucky district's record year
In Fayette County, Kentucky, the latest state ratings carry a first: no school flagged for targeted or comprehensive support — the first time that has happened since the current system began in 2018. More than 80% of schools earned Kentucky's three highest ratings, every school met state benchmarks for Black and economically disadvantaged students for a third straight year, and the four-year graduation rate reached an all-time high of 93.9%. Interim Superintendent Bill Bradford credited the constant through the district's recent challenges: the schools themselves.
