Florida's minimum wage hits $15 — the finish line of a vote six years ago
On September 30, Florida's minimum wage rose from $14 to $15 an hour — the final $1 step of the Fair Wage amendment voters approved in 2020. Tipped workers' direct wage climbed from $10.98 to $11.98 an hour. For a full-time minimum-wage worker, that's about $2,080 more a year. From here, future changes follow inflation rather than the fixed schedule.
