Four student teams, ₹2 crore (about $210,000): India's young problem-solvers win their runway

At the Grand Finale of Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2026 in New Delhi, four student teams won incubation grants totalling ₹2 crore (about $210,000), plus mentorship and incubation at FITT, IIT Delhi, to turn prototypes into working solutions. The winners came from across the map — QuantHunt of Raebareli, building AI defences against quantum-era hacking; morphism of Raipur, helping autistic people read emotions; InnoBotix of New Delhi, whose solar-powered device warns villages when wildlife approaches; and Somatrace of Hyderabad. This year's contest drew entries from 648 cities, the latest chapter of a programme that has involved about 80,000 Indian students since 2022.

The upbeat factorteenagers with prototypes got funding, mentors and a lab — the distance from idea to impact, shortened.
