Castillejo of the University of Perpetual Help System Laguna–Cauayan have won the 2026 Cyber SEA Game in Bangkok. The four-member Philippine team topped eight other national teams — 36 participants in all — in the regional cybersecurity contest held on October 26–27, with Singapore finishing first runner-up and Malaysia second. The team earned its place through the Department of Information and Communications Technology's HackForGov capture-the-flag competition, which scouts young defensive-cyber talent across the Philippines. In a field where the country is often cast as a target, its students just finished as the region's champions.

The upbeat factorfour students from four corners of the Philippines out-hacked the region — the defenders won this round.
