From green to pink: free breast-cancer screening reaches three Nigerian sites

Early detection is the cheapest cure there is — and Beta Glass has spent October making it free. Under its #FromGreenToPink campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Nigerian glassmaker ran screening exercises at its Victoria Island headquarters in Lagos and its manufacturing plants in Agbara, Ogun State, and Ughelli, Delta State, working with its health-maintenance partner. The programme paired the screenings with an education session — Taiwo Olaitan, a health education officer from Eti-Osa local government, underlined why catching the disease early matters, especially as women grow older — and an awareness walk in Lagos on 28 October. The company's closing message was aimed beyond the factory gates: 'Early Detection Saves Lives' — stay informed, get screened, seek advice early.

The upbeat factorscreenings where people already are — at work, in three states, free.
