Germany's economy may grow twice as fast as thought

The Bundesbank now expects Germany — stagnant for three years — to grow around 1% this year, roughly double its June forecast, on robust exports and government investment in infrastructure and climate protection. After three years of flatlining, even a small upswing is, in the Bundesbank president's words, 'a welcome sign.'
