Ghana climbs 13 places in the world press freedom ranking

Ghana rose from 52nd to 39th in the 2026 World Press Freedom Index and now ranks 4th in Africa, according to Reporters Without Borders. The Ghana Journalists Association credited sustained advocacy by journalists, editors, civil society and regulators.
