Google's AI chips are now orbiting Earth
Google has sent its first AI chips into orbit aboard a SpaceX rocket — 'Project Suncatcher,' a test of whether solar-powered computing can run reliably in space. The fridge-sized satellite carries four AI chips that will run for about 15 minutes at a time before pausing to cool. If it works, tomorrow's data centers might float above the clouds.
